Terms of Service.

These Terms & Conditions apply when you book or participate in a session, course, workshop, training or programme provided by Angela Harrison (“I”, “me” or “my”).

By making a booking or payment, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions together with the relevant programme or service description and my Cancellation and Refund Policy.

If you have any questions before booking, please contact me at angela@angelaharrison.uk.

1. Your Booking

Your booking is confirmed when your payment, or any required deposit, has been received and you receive confirmation of your place.

The description, price, dates and format of the service or programme will be those shown on the website or otherwise agreed with you at the time of booking.

You are responsible for ensuring that the contact information you provide is accurate so that I can send you information relating to your booking.

2. Fees and Payment

The price shown at the time of booking is the price payable for the service or programme, including any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

Where payment by instalments has been agreed, you remain responsible for making the agreed payments when due.

Where a booking is cancelled, refunds and any reasonable cancellation costs will be dealt with in accordance with my Cancellation and Refund Policy and your statutory consumer rights.

3. Your Right to Cancel

If you book online or otherwise enter into the contract at a distance, you may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days.

Where you ask me to begin providing a service during that cancellation period, you may be required to pay a reasonable amount for any part of the service already provided before you cancel.

Full details are set out in my Cancellation and Refund Policy.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.

4. Participation

Courses and programmes may include meditation, personal enquiry, experiential exercises, discussion, body awareness, emotional exploration or other practices described on the relevant programme page.

You are always responsible for deciding the level at which you participate. You are encouraged to respect your own physical, emotional and psychological limits and to let me know if you are uncomfortable with an exercise or require an adaptation.

You may choose not to participate in a particular exercise.

Participation does not require you to disclose personal information that you do not wish to share.

5. Health and Wellbeing

My courses, workshops and personal-development programmes are intended to support awareness, personal development and wellbeing. They are not a substitute for medical treatment, psychiatric treatment or emergency mental-health care.

Some practices may involve physical activity, breathing exercises, meditation or emotional exploration. If you have a medical or psychological condition that may affect your participation, or if you have concerns about whether a practice is suitable for you, you should seek appropriate professional advice before participating.

You remain responsible for informing me of any relevant needs or limitations where doing so is necessary for your safe participation.

Nothing in these Terms limits my responsibility to provide my services with reasonable care and skill.

6. Respectful and Safe Participation

I aim to create an environment in which participants can explore and participate safely and respectfully.

You agree to behave respectfully towards me and other participants and not to engage in harassment, threatening or abusive behaviour, deliberate disruption, or conduct that seriously compromises the safety, privacy or wellbeing of another participant.

Where serious or repeated behaviour makes continued participation inappropriate, I may ask a participant to leave a session or programme.

Where this occurs, any refund will be considered in accordance with the circumstances, the services already provided, my Cancellation and Refund Policy and applicable consumer law.

7. Confidentiality Within Groups

Many courses and programmes involve personal sharing between participants.

You agree to respect the privacy of other participants and not to disclose, publish, record or share another participant's personal information, experiences, comments or contributions outside the group without their permission.

You must not make audio recordings, video recordings, photographs or screenshots of other participants without their express consent.

While I ask all participants to respect confidentiality, I cannot guarantee that another participant will comply with this obligation.

8. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, original written content, course materials, training materials, exercises, teaching frameworks, presentations, videos, audio recordings and other original materials created by Angela Harrison remain my intellectual property.

Your booking gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use materials supplied to you for your own learning and personal use.

You may not, without my prior written permission:

  • copy or reproduce substantial parts of the materials;

  • publish, distribute or commercially exploit them;

  • sell, sublicense or give course materials to others;

  • repackage, rename or present my original materials as your own;

  • use recordings or materials to create another course, training or commercial service;

  • upload substantial course materials, recordings or proprietary training content to an artificial-intelligence system for the purpose of reproducing, adapting, extracting or generating derivative training material.

This does not prevent you from applying what you have personally learned through the programme in your own life or professional practice where the particular training permits this.

Where a professional or practitioner training provides specific permission to use particular processes, methods or materials with clients, the scope of that permission will be explained separately as part of that training.

9. Third-Party Material

Some programmes may refer to or include material, teachings, quotations, images, trademarks or resources belonging to third parties.

Ownership of third-party intellectual property remains with its respective owner, and its inclusion within a programme does not transfer ownership to me or to participants.

Any third-party materials must be used in accordance with the rights and permissions applicable to them.

10. Online Programmes and Technology

Where a service is provided online, you are responsible for having a suitable internet connection, device and environment from which to participate.

I will take reasonable steps to provide access to scheduled online sessions and digital materials.

Occasional technical interruptions outside my reasonable control may occur. Where a significant technical problem on my side prevents a session from being delivered, I will take reasonable steps to reschedule the session or provide an appropriate alternative.

11. Recordings

If a programme or session is to be recorded, you will be informed.

Where participant images, voices or contributions may appear in a recording that will subsequently be shared, appropriate information or consent will be obtained.

You may not independently record a group session unless I and any affected participants have expressly agreed to it.

12. Results and Personal Responsibility

Personal development, counselling, meditation and experiential work affect different people in different ways.

I cannot guarantee any particular personal, emotional, professional, spiritual, relationship, health or financial outcome from participating in a service or programme.

You remain responsible for your own decisions, choices and actions arising from your participation.

This does not affect my legal obligation to provide services with reasonable care and skill or any other rights you have under consumer law.

13. Changes to a Programme

Occasionally it may be necessary to make reasonable changes to a programme, such as changing a session time, venue, delivery method or other practical arrangement.

Where possible, I will give reasonable notice of significant changes.

If a substantial change means that I am no longer able to provide the service you reasonably expected to receive, I will work with you to provide an appropriate alternative or refund where applicable.

14. Cancellation by Me

In unusual circumstances I may need to postpone or cancel a session, course or programme.

If I cancel a service and cannot provide a suitable alternative, you will be refunded for the service or portion of the programme that I am unable to provide.

I am not responsible for losses that I could not reasonably have foreseen when the contract was made, except where the law provides otherwise.

Further details are contained in my Cancellation and Refund Policy.

15. Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

I am responsible for providing my services with reasonable care and skill.

I will not normally be responsible for losses arising solely from circumstances outside my reasonable control or from a participant acting contrary to reasonable instructions, withholding information relevant to safe participation, or choosing to undertake an activity beyond their own capabilities.

If you are purchasing a programme primarily for business or professional purposes rather than as a consumer, different legal rights may apply.

16. Privacy and Personal Information

Personal information supplied when you enquire, book or participate will be handled in accordance with my Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.

Because group programmes may involve interaction with other participants, you should only share personal information within a group that you are comfortable sharing with those participants.

17. Cancellation and Refund Policy

My separate Cancellation and Refund Policy forms part of these Terms & Conditions.

If there is any conflict between these Terms and your statutory consumer rights, your statutory rights will take precedence.

18. If Part of These Terms Cannot Be Enforced

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as removed or modified only to the extent necessary.

The remaining Terms & Conditions will continue to apply.

19. Changes to These Terms

The Terms & Conditions that apply to your booking are those in force when you make the booking.

I may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time, but changes will not retrospectively alter the terms of an existing booking unless required by law or agreed with you.

20. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory rights and protections available to you under the law applicable to you.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to prevent a consumer from exercising any right they have to bring proceedings in a court available to them under applicable consumer law.

21. Entire Agreement

These Terms & Conditions, together with the relevant booking or programme information, Cancellation and Refund Policy and any other terms expressly agreed between us, form the agreement relating to your booking.

Nothing in this clause excludes responsibility for representations or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
