From Personality to Individuality
Stop second-guessing yourself and learn to trust what you already know. An experiential personal growth course using the OSHO® Zen Tarot to explore the patterns behind self-doubt, comparison and difficult decisions — and discover what becomes possible when you begin living more from your true self.
from personality to individuality
You may already know the OSHO Zen Tarot well.
Maybe you use the cards for inspiration.
Maybe you have worked with them for years.
Or perhaps you were drawn to them… and now they sit doing mostly nothing on a shelf.
If you do know these cards, you’ll know that they are unmistakably different. They don’t shy away from confronting the shadow side of our nature, and they are remarkably good at exposing a situation that the thinking mind would rather avoid.
If you don’t know them… go get a deck and you’ll see how unlike they are to any other deck out there. They offer honest reflections of our reality rather than easy spiritual affirmations, whilst not ignoring the most powerful and overlooked aspects of our true nature. And this is why they are such a powerful tool for personal growth.
Inner Alchemy™ is not a course about learning the tarot cards, this is not a traditional Tarot course, because this isn’t a traditional deck. This is a structured exploration of the Self, using the OSHO Zen Tarot as a mirror into the patterns, qualities and inner conflicts that are shaping the way you live today.
The question underneath is simple:
How much of your life are you actually living from yourself, and how much is being directed by old patterns, fears, expectations and the endless activity of the thinking mind?
What’s in it for you?
-
People come to inner work because something in life just isn’t sitting right. Maybe a relationship is driving you mad and keeps pulling you into the same emotional place. Maybe you know what you want, but can’t seem to act on it, like something is pulling you back. Or maybe you get it, you’ve done the work and yet still the same old reactions take over when something really matters.
Inner Alchemy™ gives you a structured space to explore those moments.
Rather than endlessly analysing the past, we work with what is alive now -the relationship, decision, fear, desire, disappointment or conflict that is actually affecting you — and use the cards, meditation and experiential, guided enquiry to uncover what is happening beneath the surface.
The aim is not just to understand yourself better… it is to embrace all the aspects of who you are and include more of your true self in your own life.

Osho made a very clear distinction between personality and individuality.
Personality is shaped through experience: family, education, culture, relationships, approval, rejection, success, failure and all the ways we learned to function in the world.
It’s useful. Necessary, even. But it is not the whole of who you are.
When we become too identified with personality, and the thinking mind begins to dominate our lives, we start living through the filter of judgement, interpretation, fear, control, comparison, expectation and the constant attempt to work life out.
Yet there are other forms of intelligence operating all the time. The body knows things before the mind has words for them. Emotion tells us what matters. Intuition can be whispering at you long before rational thought catches up.
Awareness, receptivity, courage, sensuality, playfulness, compassion, courage - these are not ideas - they are qualities that can be experienced.
Inner Alchemy™ explores what happens when we begin to include all of these aspects of ourselves rather than allowing the thinking mind to run the entire show.
-
The Major Arcana gives us a powerful structure for exploring the different dimensions of who we are, mind, body and spirit. These are not separate parts, they are aspects of one whole person.
Rather than learning the archetypes as fixed meanings, we work with them experientially. We look at how each quality shows up through the mind, the body and the deeper movement of spirit, and what happens when one aspect becomes over-developed, pushed aside or disconnected from the rest.
The work is not about deciding whether a quality is “positive” or “negative”, or trying to cultivate one side while getting rid of the other. It is about learning to recognise the full range of a quality and discovering what balance actually feels like in your own experience.
Through practical exercises, meditation and the cards themselves, you begin to notice where you habitually lead from the mind and it’s old ideas, where the body is trying to tell you something different, where emotions are overwhelming or suppressed, and how your more expansive qualities are available… but often underused.
This is integration- you are learning to include it all, so that different parts of you become one, rather than pulling you in opposite directions.
And over time, that creates a different kind of inner balance. Less being stuck in thinking, more access to the wider intelligence of the whole person you are.

The course is live and experiential rather than academic. We work with exercises drawn from experiential work I have used for many years as an OSHO Therapist. You won’t be discussing an archetype or decide what it means; wherever possible, you’ll be guided to experience your own nature for yourself, learning to bring balance back to the body, mind and your very being.
You’ll be able to receive support in navigating the more challenging aspects of your life, recognising when old patterns are holding you back, and learning how to loosen the grip of other people’s expectations.
the weekly programme
Seven core insights. Three dimensions of experience; mind, body and spirit. One journey back to yourself.
Week 1: Beginning with Awareness
Before we begin exploring ourselves, we look at the ground of the course: awareness. We explore the difference between analysing ourselves and actually noticing ourselves, how meditation changes the way we meet our inner experience, and how the course will use imagery and experiential enquiry as mirrors rather than answers.
Week 2: The Ground We Begin From
We begin by noticing what is already here: the mind we think through, the body we live through and the deeper sense of being beneath both. Rather than trying to change anything, this week is about recognising our starting point — the patterns, tendencies and inner landscape from which we meet life.
What is here when I simply notice myself?
Week 3: What Moves Us
Not everything within us is immediately visible. This week we explore what draws things out of us — desire, intuition, emotion, imagination, attraction, resistance and the deeper impulses that stir beneath conscious thought. We begin noticing what brings our inner world to life and what we tend to follow, suppress or mistrust.
What is trying to emerge in me?
Week 4: What Life Brings Us
Life is constantly touching us: through relationships, disappointments, opportunities, conflict, pleasure, loss and change. This week explores what activates us and how the same situation can become repetition, suffering, insight or growth depending on how consciously we meet it.
What happens in me when life touches something sensitive?
Week 5: What We Make of What Happens
When an event happens, something very personal happens inside us. Then we interpret it, feel it, embody it until it becomes woven into what we believe about ourselves and life. This week explores how experience is formed through mind, body and spirit, and how greater awareness can give us a little more freedom in what we carry forward.
What am I making this experience mean?
Week 6: The Self I Have Come to Know
By now certain patterns begin to become recognisable. This week turns towards the identity that has formed around them: the person I believe myself to be, the roles I have learned to occupy and the qualities I readily claim or reject in myself. We explore personality, while becoming curious about what remains when we are no longer completely identified with it.
Who have I learned to be, and is that the whole of me?
Week 7: When Something Truly Changes
Real transformation happens when we can finally see an old pattern without automatically embodying it. This week explores the moments where awareness creates another possibility, where something can be released, integrated, chosen differently or simply no longer needs to run the show.
What becomes possible when I am no longer completely identified with the old response?
Week 8: Living From What We Know
The final insight brings everything back into life. What does awareness look like in a relationship, a difficult conversation, a decision, sexuality, work, creativity or an ordinary Tuesday afternoon? We explore what changes when mind, body and spirit are less divided and we begin responding more from ourselves rather than from conditioning.
How do I live what I have discovered?
Week 9: Seeing Your Own Pattern
Now that all seven insights have been experienced, you begin to see the larger picture of who you are. Where does the mind tend to take over? Where is the body ignored or trusted? Where is there a deeper knowing that is calling to be heard — or when is it overridden? This is about recognising your own particular pattern without reducing yourself to a personality type.
Week 10: From Personality to Individuality
The final meeting is integration rather than another lesson. We look back at what you have discovered, what has genuinely shifted and what you are beginning to trust in yourself. The emphasis is not on leaving with twenty-one new concepts, but on leaving with a more intimate relationship with their own inner experience and a way of continuing the enquiry in everyday life.

Not in the traditional sense.
The course does not focus on memorising card meanings or predicting the future.
The OSHO Zen Tarot is used as a mirror for exploring your own patterns, reactions, inner conflicts and qualities. The aim is to understand the cards through lived experience rather than fixed interpretation.
-
The cards can reveal patterns, conflicts and qualities that the thinking mind may overlook.
They help bring attention to what is happening in the present moment and can expose conditioning, expectations and habitual ways of responding, making them a powerful tool for self-awareness and integration.
-
Personality is shaped by conditioning, culture, family, approval, rejection and life experience.
Individuality refers to the deeper, more natural expression of who you are beyond those learned patterns.
Inner Alchemy helps you become less identified with the thinking mind and more connected with the wider intelligence of body, feeling, intuition, awareness and presence.
-
Integration means bringing the different aspects of yourself into a more balanced relationship.
The course explores mind, body, emotion, intuition and deeper qualities of being, helping you recognise where one part has become dominant or where another has been neglected.
The aim is not to become a better version of yourself, but to become more fully yourself.
-
No. You do not need previous experience with Tarot or OSHO Zen Tarot.
You only need a willingness to use the cards as a doorway into your own experience.
-
Part 1 gives you the personal foundation and an experiential relationship with the OSHO Zen Tarot. This is where you learn to read the cards.
Part 2 then is about reading the client and teaches the counselling and facilitation skills needed to work safely and consciously with another person.
Part 3 focuses on reading the tarot, bringing together your experience of the cards, your ability to support the client into offering professional OSHO Zen Tarot readings that take a client on a journey to explore their inner world and seek answers for themselves.
If you already own the OSHO Zen Tarot, this course may completely change the way you understand what the deck is capable of. And if you are new to it, you don’t need any previous Tarot knowledge, just a willingness to use the cards as a doorway into your understanding your own experience in life and in your inner world.
Inner Alchemy™ is not about getting rid of your personality. It is about embracing your own unique individuality. The OSHO Zen Tarot gives us a powerful way into that exploration because each card guides us to that very spot, revealing different ways of seeing, responding, feeling, creating and being.
The course gives you the space to explore those possibilities in a structured, guided way, and to discover what happens when you become less identified with the person you learned to be and have more freedom to experience the person you actually are.
